The Southwest Florida International Airport is positioned centrally in Fort Myers, and serves the most part of the areas of Fort Myers, Sanibel, Cape Coral, Captiva, Macro Island, Naples, the Everglades, Charlotte Harbor, the Gulf Islands and other spots in the Florida Gulf Coast, under the Southwest Florida Region. The airport is about 16 kilometers from Fort Myers and is strategically posted to have immediate cruising world access to the U.S. 41 and interstate 75 leading to prime destinations within the region.
