Thanks to American Express Membership Rewards, Delta SkyMiles and the Chase Sapphire Preferred card , my wife and I just got back from a week stay in Seattle, Washington. Our flight was free at 45,000 Delta Skymiles for each First Class ticket, our hotel was almost free by using 65,000 Chase Ultimate palace hotel restaurant san francisco reviews Rewards points and our car rental was only $221 which included a free upgrade.
Because there are a lot of people out there that say traveling palace hotel restaurant san francisco reviews for free isn t possible. Well I have been living proof for the past few years that it is! Growing up in a family that loved to travel and who went camping in the middle of the wilderness, I know what it is to travel. We never really flew anywhere because it was always too expensive . Any young kid would love to fly and experience traveling to other states, it was always an adventure.
I got the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card about 3 months ago and easily met their $3,000 spending requirement to earn the 50,000 bonus point reward. 50,000 bonus points equals $500 in gift cards. You could probably get a better value with transferring the points to one of their partner programs, palace hotel restaurant san francisco reviews but like I said I would have only transferred the points to a hotel and used them to stay in Seattle, but didn t want to drive 45 minutes in traffic every day to get to where we were going.
To get the 50,000 bonus points, it took me one month. I met the requirement the first month, so at the beginning of the second month of owning the credit card I had 50,000+ rewards points sitting in my account. Over the next month I pushed all of our spending through that credit card and even paid for a few big items which ended up giving me a total of 67,000 rewards points by the time I was ready to redeem them.
This shows that with a little planning you can travel for free. As long as you have a decent credit score and can be approved for a few credit cards with bonus points, you will be able to travel for free.
I currently live in beautiful Alaska with my wife! Living in Alaska i have learned that it cost so much more just to travel anywhere! In order to fly anywhere it cost us an extra $250+ a ticket. We use miles and points to fly nearly palace hotel restaurant san francisco reviews everywhere for free, usually in First Class.
