On January 25, 2013, education, environmental, and natural resource leaders like you will gather in San Antonio for the launch of the Texas Natural Resource / Environmental Literacy Plan presented at the Summit. Through this presentation, the participants of the summit will become familiar with the plan and identify next steps for implementation. We hope you will join us for this exciting opportunity.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Laura Bush, Former First Lady, will serve as the keynote speaker for the Summit.  Mrs. Bush recently founded Taking Care of Texas , which aims to spur conservation efforts that benefit communities, build on the success of others, and inspire all Texans to join in.
We also have a fun opening reception planned for you.  Join us January 24 th  in the evening at the San Antonio Zoo  to get eye to eye with the Zoo s hippos while enjoying drinks and heavy appetizers inside the Zoo s exclusive indoor African gallery. The reception begins at 6:30pm.
The Natural Resource/Environmental Literacy Summit will bring together formal and informal education, natural wingate inn in raleigh north carolina resources, government, non-profit, and industry interested in natural resource/environmental education and outreach.  This is an exciting time for Texas and we hope you will be part of this effort in advancing natural resource/environmental literacy.
