I was hoping bbc travel news someone would have some advice on returning rental cars for early departure. Our flight to the USA is at 6:45 AM, but the rental car office doesn't seem to open for returns until 6AM. We have been invited to spend our last night as guests in Las Catalinas, near Playa Flamingo, which we understand is about an hour away from the Airport. We are wondering if this invitation is possible to accept given the lack of open rental car offices to accept drop off. Do people simply spend their last night in Liberia when rental cars are used? Or is it possible to return a rental car for a 6:45 am flight out? Thanks.
Why not ask the agency what their policy is? They might have, or make, arrangements for early (or late) drop off and shuttle to the airport (like from the nearby Holiday bbc travel news Inn, where the Solid office is).
As of two years ago, the rental car agencies in Liberia (close to the airport) were not on airport property but were one to three miles down the road. Even if you dropped bbc travel news the car off at the rental office, how would you then get back to the airport? I doubt cabs are available, and with an international flight requiring a two hour prior to departure check in, you are looking at 4 something in the AM.
