The city is seeking proposals for a mixed-use commercial and residential development on the site near the Market Street Bridge and has not released the names of the interested developers. CityVest, the nonprofit owner of the Sterling site, is now willing to convey the 4-acre property to the chosen developer with restrictions in a negotiated agreement. The city condemned the vacant Sterling as unsafe air travel deals and detoured traffic around the building after flooding in September.
