Ending on a high note—"All I Want is You" melding seamlessly into "Where the Streets Have No Name"—Rancho Santa Margarita music fans were treated to another two hours of entertainment courtesy of the City, SAMLARC and realtors  Flo Bullock and John Russell.
The mock U2 band was impressed by one fan, with Bono impressionist Joe Hier telling the approximiate 3,000 fans he wanted to make sure he got a photo taken with "Little Edge" before the band departed for the night.
The 4-year-old tyke, strumming his toy guitar and looking right at home in his beanie and drawn-on goatee, is Clark Lanting, son of Josh and Marianne Lanting of Irvine. The little guy doesn't watch Barney videos on TV as much as he watches U2 concerts, and it was his mom that may have provided one of the outstanding testaments to the outdoor parties of the last five weeks.
"We love attending the RSM concerts in the Park because the people in this community are so welcoming and gracious to one another," she said. "It is really great to experience that kindness especially for families with kids."
The event also provided an opportunity for residents to contribute to Operation Help-A-Hero's "Operation Rack Pack" barracks drive. Residents were asked to bring items that can be provided for the city's adopted 2/5 Marines at Camp Pendleton in welcome home care packages. Kids also created "Welcome Home" and "Thank You" messages.
