The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort Spa is a quick 35 minute drive from LAX. The hotel requires 22,000 Hyatt points per night. For our stay we used a Hyatt Free night from their Faster Free night promotion a few years ago.
We checked in and our Diamond status was honored. We were given an upgrade to an ocean view room with a fantastic view. The gym and spa at this hotel were memorable. Both were in top condition during our stay. We did not have children during this stay, but they have nice pools for both adults and children. car rental in dublin They have a resort fee of $25 which is waived for Diamond members.
Huntington Beach is right across the street from the hotel. You can access the beach via walkway over the road. During our stay the beach was busy with a Paintball tournament so we took a drive down to Newport, Dana Point and Laguna beach for the day.
The Hyatt Huntington Beach treats their Diamond members well. Their location is close enough to LAX to feel like you are getting away but close enough to catch your next flight out ( perhaps to Bora Bora in Air France business class ). The room rates were showing around $211 for a random set of dates. Since the hotel requires 22,000 points per night you may want to consider paying the rate and using 6,000 Hyatt points to upgrade car rental in dublin to a suite category room.
I would recommend this hotel for a quick weekend stop in California if you are looking for a beach. It was the perfect mix of resort and beach hotel. We rented bikes for rides along the beach and relaxes in the Spa or by the pool. The Andaz Hollywood pool is also a nice oasis to enjoy a day by the pool.
My favorite Hyatt property in California is the Andaz San Diego in the Gaslamp District. The hotel is located in the middle of all the major nightlife and the rooms are fabulous. They have an extensive wine bar and the food is great. Last but not least they have a rocking club in the hotel called Ivy and it is always James packed everyday. I recommended you stay at the hotel someday you ll love it and the staff are super great and nice.
