Started CDL life as a Federal Prison Bus driver/supervisor in Texas.  Eventually went on to better client-el as a charter bus driver doing casino runs to Laughlin, Nevada from New Mexico. For the past nine years I've been working for Holland America/Princess Tours of Alaska at Mt.McKinley Princess Lodge in Denali State Park. Preparing to return for year 10. 2011 season cheap cruises to bermuda of tour driving. MPL is a great lodge to work @ and drive out of. Best wishes to all drivers this season and keep an eye out for stray ( mooses ) crossing the highway if you're going to be working in Alaska.
Sorry for the late response...really late!....but the bus (motorcoach) I drove was a CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement with Air Brake Restrictions lifted. cheap cruises to bermuda I still have it today. In fact, I'm up for renewal in September. To me driving a bus, was like a bigger version of driving my dad's Chevy Nomad. For me it came easy. I know that's not the same for all, but I dug it.
Cathleen - Never worked for Park City Transit. I've talked with their recruiter though for postings on Cool Works. I do have been to Park City and it's a cool little town. I'm guessing that there is a decent rental pool there.
I landed a job driving city bus in Aspen, CO. Good company but hard work (for me). It's a lot of thinking (on your butt) and traffic dodging traffic / peds on the snow and ice and on top of every thing else dealing with drunks (I drove nights). X-games had a record attendance / that was fun. But this ends next month. I applied in Denali and Martha's Vineyard. Wish me luck.
Ooh, Kari, you look so little next to that big bus!! How did you go about landing a driving job? I've been reading about getting a commercial drivers license - with passenger endorsement. In California that would be Class C with endorsement. cheap cruises to bermuda But to drive those big busses, you need Class A? Class B? I can't get over how little you look!
