DETROIT After a former police officer was cleared Monday of the most serious charge against him, his attorney said he will appeal his conviction on another felony and will file to get his client out of jail. After deliberating for about 90 minutes Monday, a jury of seven women and five men acquitted Emmanuel Paravas, 44, of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, but found him guilty of misconduct in office.
