I have had very bad experience in renting the car from Fox Rental on 6/14/2008, 11am, at San Jose Airport . I mentioned 12pm as my approximate rental pickup time , and due to 30 minutes delay with Atlanta-SJC flight, me and my wife reached fox rental outside booth by 11.30pm. First of all the computers were down at that time at the main fox rental location . We ended up walking in hot sun towards the rental booth. At the booth Mr Daniel initially told us that we have to just wait for few minutes to pick up our car since they were waiting for car returns. After waiting for 30 minutes I talked to Mr Daniel asking him to upgrade or give us another car, and he said there was no car available, so we would have to wait. We had been waiting for 30 minutes in mid noon sun by then. After another 30 minutes my wife also got pissed off (I was trying to get rental cars at other locations, but prices cross country inn were exorbitant for the last minute) and other fellow passengers shared her anger. She also asked Mr Daniel why they couldn t give us some other car. Finally we thought Mr Daniel was of no use for us, and approached Mr Francis whom we should have approached in the first place. Then Mr Francis cross country inn quickly found out about our problem and asked Mr Daniel to give us any car. By the time we got our car, it was 2 pm, 2.5 hours after we were at the booth". We got a free upgrade but the ordeal was bad enough that the upgrade didn t really matter at the end/. We just couldn t understand how pathetic cross country inn Mr Daniel was in understanding customer s plight in broad daylight !. I didn t have any reason to rationalize his lack of professionalism .. I would never rent again with Fox rental, and this experience is shared with many of friends who were appalled at Fox employee s pathetic service /. Since they live in San Jose, they would probably be careful with Fox Rental!. If I were Francis, I would have put this Daniel guy on probation ;. 1dd0a5 0 2 0 Like this Dislike this Report spam

Written by Fox car rental a nightmare on September 10, 2009 from antioch, california, US rented a car in sfo airport on 9-2-09 cross country inn the license plate had a different number then the keys. car was leaking tons of oil made close to 80 phone calls to then and it was almost impossible to talk to anyone, voice mail was full so you can not leave a massage, at one of the few times that i did get to talk to someone(you always had an recorded massages that repeat how much they care about thire customers) they promised to send a new car but they never did, i asked to speak to a manager (his name is Fred) but its like trying to talk to someone that does not exist, when i decided to go to the airport look for Fred my self but he was at lunch for good few hours and then went to a meeting and then no where to be found for 8 days a lady named Sara said that she is willing to compensate me with to free days but then Deny saying that tomorrow on the 9th day i will try Fred one more time for the last time or any other manager i don't think he will be there you just cant speak to a manager in this company and he is the only one who can compensate a bitter customer that wanted to go on a road trip to 6 us states few national parks, but instead cross country inn had to settle for very short trips around the bay area also try to blame me for the leak they will inspect the car tomorrow be car full if you don't want your vacation totally ruined my advice stick to the major companies like Avis ,budget ,hertz, dollar and Enterprise otherwise it will coast you more then you think. fox never again Report 2. Written by Michael Napier on August 15, 2009 from santa barbara, california, US We had reserved a pt cruizer convertable two weeks before we arrived at Oakland airport. Before we arrived to pick up the car we had called one hour before to make sure everything was ok. The person at fox rental said everything was fine and the car was there for us to pick it up. When we arrived at the fox rental center the man behind the desk said that they had accidently given the car to someone else. We was really counting on a convertable because we was driving down the coast of California on state route 1 to enjoy the california scenary. So anyways the person told us he would try to find a convertable. An hour later we find out that the only one he could find was at thier other fox rental center in San Jose. We really wanted a convertable cross country inn so we had no other obtion but to drive down to San Jose to pick one up. The rental center in Oakland gave us a Jeep Patriot to drive to San Jose.. cross country inn We finially get to San Jose Airport rental center just to find out that we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for then to fix the windshield on the convertable that we was suppose to pick up. So at this point we are outragged but still holding on to are cool. We then had to go back over with our luggage and get the jeep patriot back from where we had turned it in... We had to wait for the guy to go and get the jeep from the other lot. We went and got some lunch and returned about an hour later to find a long line that we had to wait in. When we finally get our car I had to ask the guy to clean the windows... Know after 4 plus hours of *** we finally got the convertable that we waited for. The car was very dirty inside and out and then when I applied the brakes the whole car would shake and this was on mountain roads very bad area to have bad brakes but we could not wait any longer because we was on a time frame and we was losing daylight time. We never got to see all the coast because it had gotten dark before cross country inn we reached our destiny. We will never rent from fox rental again. This was the most unprofessional buisness I have ever dealt with. Report 3. Written by You think you had problems wit on January 19, 2009 from new york, new york, US I rented a car from Fox at the end of July, 2006, at PHX Airport and returned it to OAK a week and a half later, as per our rental agreement. A week later I had a message on my answering machine asking if I was going to keep the car or return it. I called, told them at the OAK branch that I had already dropped the car off when I was supposed to. The woman could find neither my name nor the car's vin number or rental number. She said call back the next day to talk to someone else. I did so. He couldn't find it either. He said he would call me the next day, but never did. A week later he left a message on my answering machine stating that they were going to report the car as stolen. cross country inn I called him back, screaming that I would sue. Then I called corp. HQs in LA and the woman said she found me in the computer and the car number, but she said, "Wow, that's weird. They don't match up." Then she said it was all right and passed me off to another woman, who asked me where I dropped cross country inn the car off, blah, blah, blah. Then she told me to send her my airplane itinerary by email. When I got off, I realized she never gave me her email address. But I thought the matter had been settled. A few weeks ago, I got a message on my answering cross country inn machine, a "courtesy call" from Fox Car Rental's cross country inn Collection Dept. They were looking for $454 dollars from me for the time the car was missing. I called them again screaming, faxed them my itinerary and now will be sending them some nice letters, as well as the California State Board of Consumers Affairs and possibly my lawyer. What galls me most is that they obviously found the car in their own lot, but still determined that I had possession of it, despite being on the other coast where I live with three of the four witnesses who were with me when I dropped the car off -- not on time -- but EARLY. The gall of them to contact me a year and a half later, threatening to send my pristine credit rating into the toilet because of their utter incompetence. We chose Fox because it was cheap. Now we now why. The company is rife with incompetence from top to bottom. cross country inn Save yourself a wagonload of aggravation, rent from a respectable car company, one that hires employees with their entire frontal lobes.
