Karen MacInerery brings us a charming armchair mystery in the third of her Gray Whale Inn series, Murder Most Maine. In this installment, bed and breakfast owner Natalie Barnes must deal with a weight-loss clinic that comes to her Cranberry, Maine inn. As usual, MacInerery sprinkles touches of humor in her fast-paced writing. The fun of seeing what mess Natalie Barnes must deal with in this mystery is always enjoyable.
This time, the mystery is the poisoning of hunk weight-loss guru Dirk De Leon. Poisoning? Well, that means Natalie s kitchen gets investigated. But there s plenty more, including Number One Suspect ending up being her own flame, John Quinton. She has no choice but to step in and find the solution.
