From the very first moment that we entered the door to the time that we left, we felt the warm welcome of the inn keepers, Scott and Ruth. Ruth met us at the door and called us by name. It was as though we were "long, lost friends". The inn itself is beautiful, clean, fresh, comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We would like to go back to Maine just so that we could stay with Ruth and Scott once again at the Brewster House. This is, by far, our favorite B&B, and we have stayed in many. This was our first stay at a B&B, and the Brewster House set the bar very high! It's within a very short walk of great restaurants and shopping. It's also an easy (~20 minutes) drive from downtown Portland. The homemade cookies are delicious and breakfast was wonderful. The breakfasts are just wonderful and Ruth makes sure that every dietary need is met. I suggested that she should write a Brewster House Breakfast Cookbook. Her guten free bread that she made for me made the French toast a huge treat. Not to mention her gluten free peanut butter and chocolate chip gluten free cookies. I was in heaven.
