Andrew Zimmern was at Mount Vernon's  Lincoln Café in July for the taping of a  "Bizarre Foods America" episode that will feature the popular Eastern Iowa restaurant. Zimmern, was in the state filming at several different locations of an Iowa-themed episode, which will air sometime in December during the show's seventh season.
The featured entree chosen by producers was the Ox Yoke's Honey Apple Pork Chop. It is a 6 ounce center cut boneless pork chop marinated in apple cider, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, garlic and pepper and charbroiled.
Walcott's Iowa 80 Kitchen , the full-service restaurant inside the World's Largest Truckstop, also will be featured rent a car in las vegas on the Travel Channel's show  "Food Paradise" as part of an episode featuring great food at truckstops.
Filming took place on Aug. 20. The episode will air on the Travel Channel in spring 2013.
