United has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (N20904) last Saturday at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. The long-range 787s are much more fuel efficient because of new light-weight composite materials used in the design of the plane's shell. They have also reduced engine noise (both inside and out) with its chevron-styled engines and extra wall padding.
