While my wife is in Scotland with her sisters, I'll be on Kauai and I'm looking for casual places which have decent food (burgers, other sandwiches. possibly salads or appetizers) and good beer (Hawaiian or other microbrews). Well, there's a microbrewery in Port Allen (Kauai new handicapped tour buses for sale Island), but that's a long drive from the North Shore. The Big Island and Oahu have Kona Brewing, Oahu has The Yardhouse, and Maui has Maui brewing, but beer is woefully under-represented on Kauai.
The Living Room at the Princeville Hotel has a good, but expensive, beer list. The view is phenomena, and the appetizers are good, but it wll cost you (and isnt super casual). Might be worth a stop regardless.
