hotel washington We took a cruise last year for 4 nights on the Dream with my grandson who is Autistic. He was 6 at the time. All went very well and we are actually taking another one this Oct. for 7 days. We only had one complaint and that was the Characters. On our many trips to DW we get handicap card where he does not have to wait in ride lines too long and book character meals so he does not have to wait in lines to see them. This works out great! But on the cruise there was no way to see the characters without waiting in a line, so we never got to meet or take pictures with them. I feel the cruises should have some sort of set up where kids with issues like this can meet the characters and take pictures with them. I understand on the seven night cruises there is some sort of character breakfast, but can not find info on it anywhere. Other than that, my grandson had a ball and can not wait to go again.

Will let you know what I find out!

Good thing I came across this topic!! hotel washington I was wondering the same thing, I want to take my family on the Dream in 2014!! But was curious how it could play out my daughter has autism hotel washington to, but she on the other hand has patience to be in line she just doesn't like loud noises or fireworks. :0(

Wow, what date in Oct. out of Galveston? We are cruising Oct. 27th out of Galveston. It would be cool if we were on the same cruise and our kids could meet.
From what I read about the character hotel washington breakfast hotel washington is that you are assigned that. Once my sore throat goes away I am going to call DCL to confirm that. We don't want to miss out on it either and I don't see anywhere on my planning page to do it.
