I can see the airline's point. I mean, when the owner has the dog and chooses where the necropsy is

I can see the airline's point. I mean, when the owner has the dog and chooses where the necropsy is done, who's to say it's a real necropsy or that it's correct or that the owner is telling the truth about what the necropsy report says? Or maybe the owner refuses to have a necropsy, but runs to the media saying 'The airline killed my dog!' and then the airline has nothing to refute any facts with.
It's sad that the dog died, especially if it died from heatstroke. It's a real risk when you're shipping your pets via cargo. The airline refunded the money and paid for a necropsy, but the owner will probably try to sue them as well if they don't do some sort of settlement out of court.
ohhhh noooooooo. oh no. I think I would flip $ *%. I'm to scared discount car rentals canada to put my dog in the belly of a plane because I see stories like this and I have a family member who is a pilot and has told me stories.
I cant even stomach discount car rentals canada leaving my dogs at the kennel. This is why I havent had a vacation in over 7yrs b/c I'm neurotic about my dogs lol. I suppose I worry to much about them but better safe than sorry right?
Very sad but not surprised. We had a horrable experience with united and our cockatoo, when we moved from ca to wi. LOng story short, booked and paid for his spot. Checked before we flew to ca to get him. (ALl systems go) Checked the nite before we were to leave ca with zac. Had vet papers special cage, stickers whole 9 yards. United said good to go. Called them an hour before departure to see if it was still ok, as weather in green bay can be tricky. STILL good to go. Got to Oc airport in so cal, NOPE we do not fly birds from this airport. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! Ticket ladys answer was to leave the bird, Its just a bird?? anyway had to drive from chicogo to greenbay, never saw a refund and yes this is the short version. Sorry for her loss.
I think as is typical with news stories, the full story is not being shared. Sensationalizm rather than true story. While I understand there is always a risk when you put your pet in someone elses care, and that yes, accidents can happen when pets travel discount car rentals canada by airline, discount car rentals canada the statistics are pretty clear that when you consider the number of animals transported discount car rentals canada by airline and the number of accidents, accidents are not common.
Even though I'm sure many pets are taken on planes, I would much rather not do it, unless I could put my dog in a small carrier and take her to my seat with me. I just couldn't fly comfortably knowing that she might be really scared or that she might die or get sick or whatever. So sad this happened.
