We needed an economy car for 100 days, with 2 drivers, unlimited miles, and at a fitting cost for the allowance that we had available per my girlfriends working contract.  With my first phone calls to the multitude of car rental agencies I was blown away by the figures that they were giving me.  I initially toyed with purchasing a car rather than renting for our 100 day stint(initial rental cost $4800).  I knew this was unacceptable, and I began negotiating one companies total cost off of the others to gain a satisfactory rate.  Initially I began with larger companies (Hertz, Enterprise, National, Budget) all located directly at the airport, and then started to work my way to smaller local companies.  Larger companies will allow you to haggle with them for better rates, but even they will hit their minimum allowance by company standards.  As much as they want your business; they also know with a nationally cruise ships for sale recognizable name and an airport location; if you don t take their car the next person will.  However; by negotiating a larger company s pricing charts down to a minimum; this allows cruise ships for sale you a platform to move away from the airport cruise ships for sale with.  Car rental companies at the airport will acquire business due to an ease of access.  Where as rental companies (and usually local companies) that are not located directly at the airport have to entice you to come to them.

You may say to yourself, How can the same cars that are located less than 1/2 mile away from one another under a different banner cruise ships for sale have a price difference of $3,000?   The easy answer is that we have been careless enough in our research to pay such an exorbitant rate, and now the Car Rental Companies are taking advantage of that laziness.
