I was initially against the bench seat on the Ultra because of lost cockpit space, but it is VERY us

The dual consoles don't see much discussion here. The 225 Triton (or Ultra) center consoles with all boat show rebates (in NC) and an F200 were running around $37k plus tax. Boat show Sea Hunt pricing in my state was astounding. Hell, the 234 Ultra was every bit of $8k less than my wildest expectations. Call Chatlee, Ed's Marine, or Wye River Marine and ask for a quote. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone underselling them. If you're too far to want to deal with any of those dealers, clarion meridian hotel that will give you some bargaining power with whatever Sea Hunt dealer clarion meridian hotel you do choose to deal with. They've all going to come in low retail even without boat show rebates.
LOL, I don't think it no love necessarily, I just think most guys here are into hardcore fishing. The Ultra is an extremely fishing friendly family boat, but it is definitely directed at young, clarion meridian hotel active, families who will use it for multiple reasons (fishing, island hopping, water sports, cruising, etc). Sea Hunt has a fantastic reputation here, but it is seen as a mid-tier or price-point boat (which they are). The Gamefish has a very strong following here too, as does the Ultra and Triton. But the Escapes are kind of like dressed-up bow riders, and while they too are fish-friendly, they're not as much so as a center console clarion meridian hotel would be.
There is nothing wrong with them, but most guys here end up choosing a center console. My wife was dead set on the Escape 220LE...until she saw the 234 Ultra. Then she had to have one, and decided she hated the dual console setup.
PS - now I can't remember for certain if the 225 Triton had a 150 or 200 on it...I clarion meridian hotel know I'm recalling the price correctly (mid to high $30s). The display 234s in the photo album I posted all had F200s on them (Chatlee's and Boats Unlimited both had show pricing around $44k plus tax). I think at least five people here (including me) have spec'd and ordered a 234 in the last two weeks, or are planning to order one shortly.

There is a bench style setup with live-well in the rear on the Ultra and its a tank style setup on the Triton.

It was another reason I realized the 200xa was more than enough motor for the 234 Ultra.

My wife and I were in the same boat as you recently. I have 8 and 3 year old daughters. I love to fish but I needed something to bring the girls in on the river to tube and cruise. We looked at the dual consoles and they is no way they would work for how I fish. We ended up getting a Sea Hunt Triton 232 which is no longer made. It is the same length and beam as the 234 Ultra they make now. My front seat areas (which are also insulated fish boxes) are set lower with more freeboard than the Ultra. I also have two cushioned seats on both sides of my rear livewell. My wife and girls love it and it is awesome to fish on. If I was buying new, I would get the 234 Ultra with at least a 225hp. Mine has a 225hp E-Tec and it cruises real easy at 4000 rpm and around 32 mph. And it can get up and get out of somethings way if needed. I will also be doing a lot of tubing on it pulling adults. Go crawl on a bunch and take the family on a ride on them to see what you like. I like the big console on mine. It has a porti potty for the girls that gets left at home when I bring it fishing. You can also get a T-top extender that makes the whole back real shady.

I bought the 186 escape (which is like the triton) over the 188 escape (which is like the ultra) b/c of 2 main reasons- bigger baitwell and larger fuel capacity. I take out 4-6 ppl in my regularly and its fine in size, so I would only imagine how much better the 234 or the 220 would be.

Theolog just ordered one so I am sure he will chime in on any up-to-date clarion meridian hotel differences. The Tritons are a little more spartan, but still are VERY nice boats and well appointed. They are geared toward only fishing. The Triton doesn't have bow backrests and cushions are available but not standard. It has a livewell between two smallish jump seats in the back, as opposed to the Ultra, which has a full-width bench seat. The Triton has analog gauges instead of digital, and the console is more adaptable for electronics, clarion meridian hotel particularly with larger displays. The Triton 240 used to be the Gamefish 24.
As my buddy gamefish25 said, the Ultra is geared towards families who fish...alot. It's a very complete boat with almost everything being standard. There are enough additional options to keep most folks happy.
clarion meridian hotel I was initially against the bench seat on the Ultra because of lost cockpit space, but it is VERY usable. For my elderly dad and for children, the bench seat is deep, safe, and comfortable. Also, yank those cushions too, and you have a nice casting platform. The removable bench seat of the 240 Triton doesn't offer as much comfort or stability, which is why we decided against it.
Everyone has a preference. clarion meridian hotel I too prefer a DC as I fish all year round in NC. It does get cool here on the coast. Yesterday, I fished all day in comfort. My friend went out in his CC for an hour and returned as he was cold. The guys that fish with me most often like the large deck. The one that goes most often says he likes this set up much better than a CC. My wife is not a fan of the porta-potti in the console, much more comfy in the cabin. My dog likes to curl on the cushions below.
