Later this month I will be embarking on a small European tour with Mike , Thibault , Deepa , Michael , and Adam . The goal of the tour is to talk with the community holliday inn santa fe about the future direction of Flash and to get you up to speed with the new stuff we are working on.

Lee, is there any way of engaging with you and the Adobe team about supporting Games Britannia in July and providing any resource for getting Flash/AS/Starling/Stage3D videogame workshops on our schedule?
Small error (unless I misunderstood you). You claimed that while JS has function-level scope, AS has block-level scope. You re correct about JS but wrong about AS. You can try out this quick test on the Timeline:
But if you debug the instance of the Class you get (at least in Chorme i suppose in every browser you get this i miss actionscript holliday inn santa fe really!), no public variable inside the instance but inside of a so called __proto__ (that i think is a part of the constructor of the Class where you can prototype things).
So if you change the value of instance_of_the_Class.a_public_var = 3000 now if you debug this the class it augments itself with a new property. And inside the __proto__ holliday inn santa fe you have the initial value a_public_var.

Please, please post more tutorials in OOP HTML5 (with inheritance, Embedding images, audio etc). BTW, is it possible to sync animation with audio (with seekbar) using HTML5 like we do timeline holliday inn santa fe animations in Flash? Thanks.
